Real diaphonized Rice Field Frog preserved in glycerin and sealed inside of a 1.5" glass globe with a black resin base.
Diaphonization is a preservation process dating back to the late 1800s in which a specimen's soft tissues are rendered transparent, or "cleared", while its bones and cartilage are chemically dyed various colours. This results in a vibrant biological specimen in which the entire skeletal system can be easily viewed.
