This 40 day old kitten fetus developed with dicephalus; an extremely rare condition in which two entirely distinct heads share a single torso. This is different from diprosopus, which our other "two headed kitten" developed with in where facial features are duplicated on a single head. It was acquired nearly twenty years ago from a Veterinarian technician and has since made its way to us.
This specimen is very delicate and was preserved in formalin; it should also stay in formalin for this reason. Please do not refill or "top off" this specimen with isopropyl alcohol or other preservative! This specimen is one of a kind.
